Members of the Local History Society were studying Harpenden's timber-framed buildings at the time 65 and 67 High Street were undergoing renovations in the mid 1970s. Following discovery of the wall-paintings, which imitate wooden panelling and are thought to date from the C18, the Royal Commission for Historical Monuments made a photographic record. Further information will be added shortly.
