This is my great grandfather Andrew Thomas Irons and my grandmother standing behind him. He was killed 100 years ago in WW1 on April 13th 1917.

Ed: His name appears on the War Memorial on Church Green, and in her tribute to those who gave their lives in WWI Mary Skinner recorded that he was a postman and lived in the Lodge by Rothamsted Park Gates. His daughter was 11 at the time of his death. Can you please tell us more about both of them?
